A few years ago while presenting webinars for a large international bank, I was asked to prepare on one entitled ‘How to Survive Christmas.’ It was well received by the staff and ran successfully for three years. The original lasted an hour, which seemed to me to be too long. I have now released a shorter version. It’s free, and lasts about eight minutes.

Selective Optimism for Pessimists

There are advantages to optimism that are worth considering, but some people are put off because they don’t want to be disloyal to negativity.

Optimism and pessimism are generally seen as opposites, but that doesn’t mean they are mutually exclusive; learning optimism does not mean abandoning negativity. If that is what turns you on, stick with it.
