Workplace mediation is often seen as a last resort when colleagues have fallen out or teams are in distress. It is a mistake to leave it too late. Clients are frequently amazed at what can be achieved with the help of a skilled mediator, even in the face of apparent impasse. But, tackling the conflict sooner rather than later will be less costly and impasse is avoided. Earlier intervention is a wise move as disputes can be more easily resolved earlier in the cycle.

I provide workplace mediation for individuals and groups. Disputes in the workplace are time consuming, demoralising and costly. Mediation provides an informal, voluntary and highly effective way of helping people in conflict to find solutions to their problems.

Typically, I am called to help with conflicts between staff members, between a member of staff and a manager, within a team or between teams or groups.

In the work setting Mediation is also appropriate for resolving difficulties between different agencies, customers and suppliers or management and unions.

More generally Mediation is widely used in community disputes, peacekeeping and cross-culturally. I have colleagues who work in all these areas, so if you need a situation you want to address is outside my area of activity I can put you in touch with mediators who  specialise in other areas of conflict resolution.
