Social media

Social Media (SM) is pernicious. Personally, I don’t mind it, but equally, if it disappeared tomorrow I wouldn’t mind that either. So maybe I’m not your typical user. Come to think of it, there’s no ‘maybe’ about it, of course I’m not your typical user.

But millions are, and plenty of studies show that there can be negative consequences of over-reliance on SM. , for one (and check out at the end even if you don’t read the article).

I’m not knocking Social Media. I use it and benefit from it’s reach, but I was a writer and communicator first, and if SM disappeared I’d still be able to do what I do. I’m writing this post because I meet and hear about many people for whom SM has a negative impact on their lives.

Please don’t judge me, I’m just sharing.
