Knowing the Difference Between Differences

Published on

As you go through the week, in your interactions and particularly when you find yourself judging or out of your depth, here’s a little exercise you might like to try. Most of the time you won’t need it, but if you are struggling with something it may be relevant.

If a dilemma involves PEOPLE: Look for the similarities, between them, or between you and them.

If the dilemma involves CIRCUMSTANCE: Look for differences, between a past situation and the current one.

Difference separates and divides, similarity joins and bonds. Each has its place.
