ne news

I have nothing to say today so I won’t say it. Maybe I’ve got writer’s block! But then, that would make me a writer, so it can’t be that.

Perhaps there’s no news because, through writing these daily posts, I’ve finally developed insight; I can see that I’ve been kidding myself about my own importance, or something like that.

I’m in good company. Apparently, the BBC once announced there was ‘no news’ (on18th April 1930 at 6.30 am).

You’d think, that after 30 years working in and around the fields of personal development and psychology, I’d have plenty to write about. I used to think that too.

There are a number of posts written and almost ready to go. I write when things occur to me, and I thought I’d had some pretty brilliant occurrences. But that was before I saw the light (I mean this figuratively, I haven’t actually ‘seen’ anything. If I had, I’d write about it).

Reviewing my stock of almost-ready-posts I realised that none was good enough to publish yet, they need extra work so they’ll have to wait.

Enough of the excuses! I have no post ready for today because I spent messed up. I’ll spend the day thinking about that. Maybe it’ll inspire me.

I’m a psychologist, coach, and therapist. All my work is aimed at enabling people to improve personal aspects of their lives and work.

You are only human! Thank you for all the inspiring posts. Some new insights and others “already cracked it” ones. Have a nice walk in nature for more inspiration. Kind thoughts to you Barry.

Everyone needs a day, or days, off Barry. Take yours and enjoy it! Your brain needs rest, and maybe even your body….don’t ever feel “forced” to write just because you write this blog please. Sharing your insights and constantly delving into the mind can sometimes be exhausting – pay attention to your own self and what it’s telling you. Do what Linda says and sit in nature, just contemplating your belly button even. Let that amazing brain of yours rest!
