A resilient relationship underpins every successful long-term life partnership. Happiness, for a couple, doesn’t happen by accident. It has to be protected. Couple wellbeing is enshrined in how the two people treat each other. Adversity tends to drive them together, not apart.

Successful and resilient couples have signal strengths and abilities which keep them in good shape so they are fit for what life throws at them. Regardless of their means or the demands they face, they know how to keep the relationship loving and respectful, how to enjoy their lives as individuals and together, and how to blend their unique talents to make them a formidable and robust team.

Whatever challenges they face, they understand that in order to do well in life, to feel fulfilled, and to be of use to others, they first have to tend and nurture their relationship and each other. That is why they are a couple; otherwise, why bother?
