Whatever the problem, someone somewhere has had to deal with it before we do. It's useful to remember this; it provides perspective, and sometimes even, solutions. At the very least, realising that our ancestors went through similar stuff means we can draw on our species' collective wisdom.
When lost in a quandary or struggling in a crisis how do you respond? I don't mean the day-to-day stuff, I mean real, critical, mid-life, existential, where-to-from-here-I'm-in-a-total-panic-because-I-feel-lost sort of crisis.
Who does Personal Consulting help? There's no single type of person who comes to see me, but there are some common factors. One of these is that people who seek professional help recognise that something must change, and they're prepared to do something about it. Another common factor is their stamina and resilience, though often they don't see it like that, at first.
Most people are prepared to put a little time and effort into realising an ambition. But equally, most don't consider their inner world as a safe and sensible starting point. This may be one reason why so many of us struggle with unfulfilled ambitions, diets, and changes in lifestyle or habits.
