
At its worst, depression can be a frightening and debilitating condition. Many sufferers and their families are afraid to talk about their struggles, and don’t know where to turn for help.
This is what I call a ‘tragedy of ignorance’. Depression is largely preventable and treatable. Recognising depression and getting help is the first and most critical step towards recovery.
I hope this can help de-stigmatise it. In his great little video, writer and illustrator Matthew Johnstone tells the story of overcoming the ‘black dog of depression’.
