Something missing suggests that we have to immediately act to correct the absence to restore balance and wellbeing. That's certainly an important idea, but like a lot of unexamined ones it can bring unnecessary worry or cause for concern. Emptiness is usually seen as a lack of something, but what if emptiness IS something?
When you have something contentious to say to another person there's a good chance that they won't hear much after the first line. This means they'll miss the point of what you need to say, and the subtlety of your argument. Your eloquence will be wasted.
We need more romping and cavorting, don't we? But play for the hell of it is a frightening prospect for many adults. Engaging in non-competitive fun has all sorts of benefits, but spontaneous and opportunistic tom-foolery is never taken seriously enough.
The perennial question, and one of those that needs asking, more than it needs a reply. If you want to know something important like this, have you thought of asking Google?
