Well-formed and persuasive questions are those which open up conversation. They draw the participants together. It is a subtle process of engagement, rather than a blunt and divisinve adversarial campaign of interrogation.
A listening conversation is vital for social cohesion and when you are listening well you are doing something useful for the people you listen to. It's also good for your health, balance and sense of identity. Done properly, it helps you think, too.
There are many ways to avoid the stress caused by over commitment, and the repressed resentment of doing things you'd really rather not do. It's easy to get drawn into saying 'yes' when we'd rather not volunteer, and at times it can be an automatic response... Whether it's over commitment or another personal habit, here's a handy reminder to avoid all that.
