In order to notice things it is better to learn to look without looking for anything in particular. If you prime the mind with desire or expectation then you’ll miss the things that don’t fit.

Its the same with Hearing. Listen only to confirm what you know or, to hear what you want to hear, and you can miss a lot.

Approaching things from a position of ‘not knowing’ allows the mind to be open to new information.
