Goats have been domesticated for thousands of years and in recent decades they have started to become popular as pets. Goats are well established in most societies and some are becoming fully independent, adapting to their urbanised surroundings and (almost) blending in unnoticed.
Accepting help might ease the burden but we often reject it. The thing is, a casual refusal is easy to give, but it overlooks that giving is a two-way interaction.

We all have a tendency to blame, though we often disguise it. It tends to be low-grade, harmless on a day-to-day level, even if it does feed a lot of arguments and rancour. Scapegoating, on the other hand, ir potentially much more dangerous.
I was once attacked on London Bridge station for giving money to a homeless person. Verbally attacked – not physically – harangued might be e better word. “Don’t you know", she yelled, "that there is a shelter across the street for people who need help? You are irresponsible and just fuelling a drugs habit!” I responded by saying that, as habits go, taking drugs might be less harmful to others than attacking someone for an act of compassion.
