It’s a Mistake to Confuse Illness and Identity

When we suffer illness it is usually transitory, we get better and move on. Sometimes it isn't and that can engender hopelessness. But that can be transitory too, if we handle it right. Either way we should not let our identity be defined by an ailment, however frightening or serious it appears to be.

Good Questions Need No Answers

Good questions are at the heart of effective communications and they can also provide keys personal wellbeing. Bad questions keep people stuck where they are and they fail to generate useful responses. Worse, they can actually do the opposite of what is intended by tying us up in knots to sending us round in circles.

'New' things always attract criticism. Social Media is/are no longer new, but there are still plenty of pundits that will tell you that SM is bad. They did that with the use of biros in schools (spoils handwriting), and fast food (unhealthy). Confusing the 'new' thing with how people manage to get into difficulty when using it is an error in thinking. Still, some of it is relevant. Coming back to SM, I've met quite a few people lately who can't break the habit.
