Successes are all around us but if you don’t believe that you won’t see them.

In any situation there is usually something that is not right, could be better,,, There’s always a downside. But ‘side’ is the operative word, and there’s another side to every story.

Look out for successes

If you look for what’s right, what’s working, how things are improving, or whatever, you’ll find those too. It’s uplifting to shift your thinking like that. It’s also satisfying, helpful, and tends to be constructive and produce forward movement.

Successes are happening all the time, you just have to look for them. I know that some people react against this, because it challenges their world view and they are uncomfortable with it.

Recognising successes is a choice about your outlook. Make a habit of it and you’ll feel better, more in control, less stressed… This way of thinking has many other benefits, and it also contributes to resilience.

Try it, you’ll see. Here’s an exercise to start you off.
